Simply put - my grandpa Peck always made the best apple pie. So why change a good thing?

 

Many memories I have of my childhood thanksgivings are of him and I in the kitchen as he taught me his secrets. (Most of which are in the crust).

 

Though he is no longer with us, every thanksgiving, the smell of my fresh-baked apple pie brings back cherished memories of him.

 

This year, I am thankful to be able to share that same homemade pie with you.
